May 2009
        The 2009 turkey season comes to a close. It was a tough one and we all hunted hard. Our Team hunted in IL, OK, KY, MO and AR. We were fortunate enough to have taken several birds on film and plan to share them with you all very soon. We even took a couple of yotes that wondered a little to close to the Dead Zone!
        We also asked Junie Pack to be our Director of Merchandising. She is presently putting together a full line of DZO Gear that will be for sale here on our site.

April 2009
        Turkey Season!!!  We began field production as Dead Zone Outdoors. Travis filmed Team DZO member Joey Morris from Illinois as he took a tom with his bow for the first official hunt as DZO. 
        Travis later filmed Team DZO member David Taylor take a turkey in Oklahoma for our first out of state hunt.
        Lincoln Transportation out of Oklahoma City came on board as our first official sponsor.

March 2009            
        Things really began to take off...we finalized the design of our logo and regestered the name Dead Zone Outdoors as am outdoor video production name brand.   
        We completed our first hour and a half demo as Team DZO which was made up of our footage filmed at Rocky Top Ranch in Oklahoma...it was a hit with our family and friends. 
        On March 21st, we launched www.deadzoneoutdoors.net, put together our original team and doubled our field production equipement.     

February 2009
        While making a "home movie" of our hog hunt, we had the crazy idea that we could begin producing videos on our own. We upgraded our computer stuff and began turning our "home movie" into a demo.

January 23-24, 2009
        The hunt that started it all...Travis Pack, Randy Anderson, David Taylor and I (John Melvin), went on a 2 day hog hunt at Rocky Top Ranch near Lamar, Oklahoma. During this hunt we were simply having a good time hunting and doing some freelance videoing for another production company.
